How to use a pastry turntable?

The pastry turntable is used to smooth a cake with ganache, buttercream or any other toppings. To use it follow these steps:

Place the turntable on a flat surface such as your kitchen worktop for example. Then place your cake in the center of the turntable . A little tip: place buttercream or icing under the cake so that it holds perfectly. Place a good layer of filling around the edge of the cake, take your smoothing spatula , place it on the side of the cake vertically and start turning the board .

Rotating the turntable will help uniformly smooth the edges of your cake, as long as you don't move too much!
